Welcome to Connect Maroof HS We use a secure portal for file transfer and collaboration. Effective November 01, 2023, we have switched to a new portal. If you are visiting this portal after a while, please request login credentials by sending an email to Canada@MaroofHS.com. Clients with active engagements automatically receive new login credentials. Login to Portal - Access, upload and share RECOMMENDED: Login to the portal where you can download, upload, and communicate safely and securely. You must be an existing client or a new client with an active engagement to have access to the client portal. Login to Secure Portal Upload Docs without Logging into the Portal FOR LIMITED USE One-way but secure transmission from you to us without logging into the client portal. Use this option only if you do not want to log into the client portal but need a secure option to transmit your files to our team. Upload Files - No login How to pay your invoices? Coming soon! For the time being you can follow the payment instructions as mentioned on the invoice, for both credit card and bank payments. File upload guidelines for all: You must follow the below guidelines while transmitting the files to us. Not following these instructions may result in a delay in the agreed timelines and costs. File Names must be meaningful. If you have files with random names or abstract characters, please ensure to rename them. This ensures that your files are correctly sorted out to the right engagement. For example, you may have received your T4 or W2 as ABC123425, please rename the file to Your name – year – W2/T4”. Password-protected files: If you have received a file with the password from the issuer, please ensure to rename the file as mentioned before and add the password of the file in the name of the file. Do not send separate emails for the file passwords, simply rename them and mention the password in the name. Files transmitted using client portal are secure and do not require passwords. Why should I use the Client Portal? The client portal helps us to keep your information secure and organized. When you receive a document request, it assists both of us in tracking the status of the information requested. While you can upload files without logging in, you will need to log in to download the files. Why can’t I simply email instead of the portal? Email is not a secure way of communication. When yo are transmitting confidential and sensitives information, there is a possibility that the information can be intercepted by any third party. How can I ensure that the notification emails I am receiving are actually from you? You must always check the email address of the sender. During the busy tax season, hackers and fraudsters are working overtime to steal your information. They always make an effort to make you click the links to steal your login credentials. You must always click and check the sender’s email address even if the sender’s name appears familiar. We require all our clients to use two-factor authentication by default. You should set it up as soon as you receive your first invitation. It adds an extra layer of security. Can I avoid using this portal at all? I am not used to electronic portals of any kind. Though we recommend using the portal, however, it is not a mandatory requirement in order to work with us. If you are a senior who is not computer-friendly or find the process not-friendly, you can use any of the below options: Sign a waiver document (you have to request one), and correspond using the emails. You can still use our secure file drop to send us all the files. We can either deliver the password-protected PDF files of your tax returns or mask the SIN/SSN on all the documents without passwords. Drop the documents physically at our location at 101-320 Bay St in Toronto, or mail them to our office. You can request the paper mailing of the final deliverables. This process may involve extra cost.
